What is 5G technology?
5G technology
In 2019, A
new fast speed wireless technology named “5G” began developing. Korea
and China Nowadays, is using this technology and have a wide range of cellular
users. However, similar types of indoor technologies (MiFi) is currently
available in the US, Australia, and the UK. In
China, according to the report of “All 5G Phone facts” Nine major companies are
going to low done the prize of technology to as lowest as possible in China
country during this December.
5G (Fifth
Generation Cellular technology), is the fastest technology (often of Gigabit)
ever with 100 to 500 bands. However, the 5G technology range is small due to which
it covers the lab or field area. More networking towers required to provide a path to this network.
5G networks:
Digital Cellular networks that cover small areas. These small
coverage areas are known as cells. These networks work on the same principle of
telephone wireless connections. Firstly, the information is coded (analog to
digital conversion) and sent then received & decoded (digital to analog
conversion).
Usage of 5G technology:
There are three main uses of this advanced technology
defined by ITU Radio Communication sector:
1.
Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) is deployed in
2019.
2.
Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications
(URLLC),
3.
Massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC).
We are far away from 2 & 3 usages.
1st 5G Mobile in the world:
Samsung Electronics is the first cellular network company
that is investing in this technology. Samsung Galaxy S10 (5G) is the first An android-based cellphone that is able to connect with this advanced technology.
Availability in Market:
There were only 23 dealers of this latest technology in the start.
Only seven device types were able to connect with it. These are the following:
1.
telephones (There were only 12 devices that can
be connected.),
2.
hotspots (Only 4 devices),
3.
indoor customer-premises equipment (Only 4
devices)
4.
outdoor customer-premises equipment (Only 4
devices),
5.
modules (Only 5 devices),
6.
Snap-on dongles and adapters (Only 2 devices),
7.
USB terminals (Only 1 device).
These numbers were extended to 129 devices from 56 dealers
with 15 forms in October 2019.
5G in Pakistan:
A pioneer of 4G in Pakistan is now the 1st
company testing 5G. However, some 4G LTE
wave frequencies work similarly to 5G lower energy waves do. So, it was easy for
Zong to lead in this new market.
What do you think!
Is it 5-G good for Pakistan? What will be the future of 5-G
in Pakistan?
